Light Ahead

Closing his eyes to the world, Beating through the emotions hurled, Unaffected by the stone, Unafraid of being alone Comfortable with the peace in solitude, Filled with nothing but gratitude, For everything that he's been through, Until the moment he finally bid adieu Walking the path of isolation, Unmoved by the constant alienation, He takes the audacious plunge forward, Immune to the whispers of the dishonoured Looking through the streak of light ahead, No longer leaving things unsaid, Progressing along the path, fearless Comfortable in his absoluteness

Creed

All the voices in his head, Pulling away in different directions, Innocence left behind as he bled, Hung out to dry away his affections Between the jaws of anxiety and reality, Walking through the forest of illusions, Hit hard by the world’s brutality, Crashing out of his delusions Pushing him towards insanity, Or is it just another illusion? Each voice acting out of vanity, Or are they in collusion? He walks away in defiance, But they’re a part of his soul, Pulling him back into acceptance, As he loses away all control He opens his eyes to this new world, Overrun by the deathly greed, Vulnerable and weak, his emotions hurled, As he's led by the self seeking creed

Crawling Deep

Burning in the fire of anxiety, Striking his swords with sobriety, Abandoned heart of the lonely soul, Unaware of the feeling of whole Deriving strength from the night, As his spirit begins to ignite, Hammered into the malleable state, Left awake in the forger's wait As silence begins to creep in, Crawling deep within his skin, Whispering to break all chains, Set himself free of all constrains Darkness holding his hand tight, Unwilling to let him experience light, Unmindful of this maze of miseries, He's caught up in his memories

Memory

Hovering over the bed full of lies, Hiding behind the masked disguise, Of sins and virtues concealed within, Unwilling to let anyone break in Stressing on his vulnerabilities, Struggling with the hostilities, The cracks begin to shine under the light, Confronting the will of his fight The spot of light under his door, Another shadow washed ashore, Turned away in the dark of the night, The lonely soul's desperate plight The shadow darkening the door fades, As the light turns into dark shades, Until his memory is all that's left, Gradually dissolving under the world's heft

Sunshine

Let the old flame burn rough, The sunshine in your pocket’s buff, You've been there together before, This time you've got the power to explore Let your heart take over your mind, Turn a blind eye to wretched mankind, Hold his hand and take the leap, Let him know your faith runs deep You’ve looked into his eyes, Each time hating the goodbyes, Gazing beyond the surfaced darkness, Unearthing something not quite heartless Turning your days into melodies, Flying away like the little birdies, Don’t let the flame turn old again, Let the sunshine through without refrain

The Flame

The man doesn't care when he sees the flame, He just looks for another to blame, The man doesn't care if he gets burnt, There are still lessons he hasn't learnt The man doesn't care if the flame is real, Oblivious to its role of making him kneel, And once he’s in, he can’t go back, He’ll keep running till he's burnt coal black, The man doesn't care if the flame burns low, He believes in its afterglow, But the flame is never doused completely, Exerting its control over his life discreetly

Black Night

There's a fire in those eyes, Burning through the disguise, Of desire and deprivation, The civilization's abomination Generations lost into the wind, Without a hint of any chagrined, Unsuspecting of the blackbird's song, Oblivious of where they belong Unprepared for the impending judgement, Breaking away from the commitment, Staring into the deep end, Reflecting their failure to comprehend Desperately grasping onto the idea, Of the journey ending in euphoria, Into the lifeless dark black night, Where the end is nigh but not in sight

The Orion's Lap

Staring blankly into the Orion's lap, With his mind wandering beyond the map, Silence prevailing over the norm, Or is it the calm before the storm? The silenced voices in his head, Awaiting the moment they're behead, Is there anything left to come around? Or is it fate's final touchdown? The fire burning in those eyes, The ice hard at work to crystallise, The distant star falling through, Is that really her bidding adieu? Taking the leap of faith ahead, The voices hanging by the thread, Suspended mid air as it all flashes back, There is no more a fallback No more emptiness into the Orion's lap, Done away with the mousetrap, No regrets left behind, As he finally becomes one with mankind

Stories

Too many voices ringing in the background, Too many faces all around, So many stories to listen to, So many lives stuck in the queue None more recognizable than the other, As their lives keep pouring one after another, Everyone's running in the same direction, Just not together, there's no connection There's the sound of laughter in the air, The saltiness of tears in despair, The silence of the old man's prayer, The shrieking of the child narrating his nightmare But he's still living in the past, Hoping for the above stories to last, As he opens his eyes to the world around, Greeted with a herd of zombies to their screens bound!

Morning

It hit his eyes through the shade, The rays of sunshine killing the fade, His dark past flashing through the mind, As he goes back into rewind Looked down upon from the sky, Insignificant fools full of arrogance, Unaware that the end is nigh, Paving their own path of decadence The herd always in search of a leader, The world, a circus of thy ringleader, Waving the strings of his puppets from above, Freedom, a mere illusion like love Looking at everything but seeing nothing, Hearing it all but not listening at all, Free Will? The magician's bluffing, Open your eyes! He's preparing for nightfall The darkness blankets all of life, Leaving the fools in a state of strife, In his castle, away from all mourning, He's preparing his circus for another morning

Fade Away

Swimming through the seas of darkness, Letting go of the tight harness, Driven to the point of insanity, He's forced to question his own humanity, Stuck between the jaws of fake affection, Slowly poisoning his own reflection, The candle which seemed to share the light, Instead burnt everything in its sight There's no light left in his eyes, No ray of hope through the sunrise, Been dying from within all this time, Just stopping short of the crime He's on the path to the unknown, Each step closer to the tombstone, And like the love faded away into yew, He will fade away unnoticed too

The Devil's Game

The clock strikes past three, His hands rubbing with glee, He's been told about the devil's hour, He waits and hopes, he's not too far From the ashes of the hymn, The darkness falls upon him, And through the smoke of deceit, He rises from under his feet He tries to feed on the fear in him, Finds none but curiosity upto the brim, Now offended, he questions the man, Only to be countered, "How did it began?" "I am nothing but just the vessel, Of humans' greed, I am its trestle, You've pictured God sitting all soigne, I am merely, the other side of the coin" He vanished before the rising sun, Leaving the man behind undone, The greatest trick the devil spun, Convincing the man, he's the only one.

The Man And The Pawn

What are you doing in the wild? Trotting along the mysterious path Are you lost, child? There's no place for a child in this strath, I'm finding my way away from the demon, He's followed me for eternity, I am no child, but a freeman, Caught within these shackles of absurdity Stop running away from him, You'll never be able to escape, As long as you're full of grim, You'll never be able to trape I am not grim, I am not ruthless, Just an experiment of his game, The expendable pawn of the devil's chess, Free to burn up under his flame Don't give up, don't let your fears grow, Let facing him be your endeavour, For storms may come and storms may go, But the Sun will shine forever

The Countdown Begins

The dense forest staring right at us, The concreteness leaving it brusk, Watching through the windows silently, As we go about our ways violently The only chirping heard is of horns, Overshadowing the cries of newborns, The gunshot echoes in the dingy streets, Left for dead for the scavenger's treats Our hands are all full of red, Treading along on the thin thread, Innocence lost somewhere along the way, Everyone's looking for their prey The only way to stop it all is the end, Brought upon ourselves, not godsend, Is there time to change our ways? Or is it time to count down the days?

A Million Faces

All these faces staring into blankness, Each tells a different story of life, From the one leading into darkness, To the other in strife with his wife He's wandering away into his dreams, With eyes wide open but everything's a blur, She's staring into the blue streams, Undeterred by the million eyes on her, With each stranger only into himself, Silence takes over the entire journey, Like books lying undisturbed over the shelf, Dust takes over the lives like undergrowth ferny I lay here, carrying the weight on my shoulder, Which isn't mine to begin with, And everything around gets colder, As I close my eyes and travel into the myth

Fire

The sky is on fire, Filled with burning desire, Eclipsing everything around the horizon, Unwilling to listen to reason As ashes turn into clouds, He looks down into the crowds, Surprised of his own creation, Withering away at the very foundation Was he just in giving us free will? Letting us drive it all downhill, Or is this just an illusion? Mere pawns of chess in confusion You see the sun setting down, Still in all it's glory with its shining crown, Ushering in the hope of a new dawn, Until it's completely gone Does he see us capable of change? Is hoping to see a shift strange? Is that him within the clouds, grinning? Is this the end, or is it just the beginning?

Welcome To The World

Look out, look out as the sky burns, Ashes spread across, empty churns, Heaven comes crashing down, Mortals running scared across town Look out, look out as we add fuel to the fire, Let the storm take over, burnt desire, As violence becomes the only means, Life still goes on with its routines Look out, look out as the birds stop chirping, Sorrow spread across, still hurting, He's looking down at us teary-eyed, As we fail to swallow our pride Look out, Look out as we lose our humanity, Let our urges take over, such insanity, No more dreams, just stay down curled, Welcome my son, welcome to the world

Into The Abyss

Falling into the abyss, After all that's been amiss, Watching the darkness spread across, Caught within by his own flaws Intolerance spreading like fire, Unfettered from his own desires, Stood up against the tall order, Pulled away from the border The massacre swept through his eyes, The figureheads ordering his demise, On the run from those in guise, Melting away into the skies Enveloped by the dense smokes, Feeding on his failed hoax, Fails to conceive past the gloom, Falling back into his tomb

Look Within

Have you ever seen through, Frosted layers of emotions, No matter what he threw, Couldn't dent any notions You asked him to stop for a while, Let his violent steak get silent, Fast approaching state of senile, He was never this violent He took the fall, alone in the dark, Letting go of your hand, He stood lonely, under the arc, Unsure of where he's going to land Did he seep through the sands of time? Did he fall through the crack? Did he stop or commit the crime? Or did he finally switch his track Close your eyes and look within, He's in there, scared to lose his way, Don't let him commit the sin, Just remember, you have the final say

Cry

Only if he could fly, Only if he could cry, Trapped in the shackles of cold, Is he you really want to hold Reserved, hollow, cold blooded, Leaving behind a trail flooded, Mysterious, dark, undefined, By the iron, he's confined Damaged bonds along the way, Nothing to link to the past, There's nothing left for you to say, He himself hasn't asked Mending ways in your sight, He'd let you shine bright, Only if he could fly, Only if he could cry
