Staring at the night sky
Talking to the lonely moon
I can't help but notice the stars nearby
Fading away in its twilight
Yet it's the bright white mass,
Telling me how each night is to pass,
Reflecting to us the sun's setting glory,
Isn't it like a leader's story?
To have all those stars near you,
Yet you have none to choose,
Who can be just like you,
All of them follow you through,
Still none of this seems to be true.
Quite contradicting, yes I understand,
But then is where I'd always stand,
In between the myths and truth,
Forming my own thoughtful ruth,
For the moon, for the sun
And for anyone who made my mind spun
To be alone up their all night,
Something somewhere doesn't seem right,
I guess I was all wrong throughout,
It's the close knit group of stars I should have talked about,
The ones together dim or bright,
Helping the moon keeping the sky shine all night
Talking to the lonely moon
I can't help but notice the stars nearby
Fading away in its twilight
Yet it's the bright white mass,
Telling me how each night is to pass,
