The Road Not Taken

As I sit down & gather my thoughts around,

There are a lot of ignored facts to be found,

About the past, the paths I took,

And all the hands till now I've shook,

You wonder about the road not taken,

Are you better off? Or just mistaken?

The choice between left & right,

The choice between brain & might,

Leaves you with your mind to fight

Through the storm, the sun & rain,

Through the emotions, the fun & pain,

You wonder about the road not taken,

If the other side, offered a better bacon

Through the woods, the trees & creatures,

Through the institutions, the students & teachers,

You wonder about the road not taken,

If all the risks were worth being taken

You end up thinking its not worth the thought,

Theres nothing that your mind has caught,

But still you wonder about the road not taken,

And convince yourself that you were never mistaken

Trapped

Unable to express these feelings inside, Boiling throughout with rage, As he tries to look far wide, Finds himself trapped within the cage Powerless to break past these shackles, Stuck within the circle of duty, Shaking up his heart's hackles, No longer enjoying the spring beauty Withering down like autumn leaves, Breaking apart piece by piece, Smoked up everything he believes, Hopeless for any kind of peace Being chased away into darkness, Defenceless against his ferocity, Scarred along with his word's sharpness, Can't help but endure his animosity Hiding behind the veil of attachment, Entangled fear becoming rife, Resolves around the final judgement, Escaping his forlorn state of life
