Beyond Adulthood

Entering into the new world of age,
Where everything seems to settle beyond rage,
Into the new horizons beyond dusk & dawn,
Into the greenery beyond every lawn

The journey through the teenage years,
The journey beyond childhood fears,
The point at which you're called a man,
And the society removes quite a few bans

The grown up feeling from within,
Covered with thoughts ever so thin,
There isn't much difference in your thinking,
It's just the perception in your mind sinking

To put it simply you've become an adult,
Having a few extra rights is the result,
But the journey through life has just started to set,
There's a whole new world to explore yet

Trapped

Unable to express these feelings inside, Boiling throughout with rage, As he tries to look far wide, Finds himself trapped within the cage Powerless to break past these shackles, Stuck within the circle of duty, Shaking up his heart's hackles, No longer enjoying the spring beauty Withering down like autumn leaves, Breaking apart piece by piece, Smoked up everything he believes, Hopeless for any kind of peace Being chased away into darkness, Defenceless against his ferocity, Scarred along with his word's sharpness, Can't help but endure his animosity Hiding behind the veil of attachment, Entangled fear becoming rife, Resolves around the final judgement, Escaping his forlorn state of life
