Lead To Her

Whole long walking in the dark,
Lead miles away into wilderness,
Eyes gazing around for the mark,
To lead him out this darkness

Locked away into the chest,
His heart as cold as snow,
Like a hatchling fallen off her nest,
Helpless prey of the eternal foe

The guiding light faded away,
The tears stained the soul,
Helplessly walking into the fray,
Night after night, darker than coal

Haphazard steps turning questions,
Seeking answer with burning desire,
Keeps requesting beyond depression,
To be lead to her beyond the fire
