Morning

It hit his eyes through the shade, The rays of sunshine killing the fade, His dark past flashing through the mind, As he goes back into rewind Looked down upon from the sky, Insignificant fools full of arrogance, Unaware that the end is nigh, Paving their own path of decadence The herd always in search of a leader, The world, a circus of thy ringleader, Waving the strings of his puppets from above, Freedom, a mere illusion like love Looking at everything but seeing nothing, Hearing it all but not listening at all, Free Will? The magician's bluffing, Open your eyes! He's preparing for nightfall The darkness blankets all of life, Leaving the fools in a state of strife, In his castle, away from all mourning, He's preparing his circus for another morning

Fade Away

Swimming through the seas of darkness, Letting go of the tight harness, Driven to the point of insanity, He's forced to question his own humanity, Stuck between the jaws of fake affection, Slowly poisoning his own reflection, The candle which seemed to share the light, Instead burnt everything in its sight There's no light left in his eyes, No ray of hope through the sunrise, Been dying from within all this time, Just stopping short of the crime He's on the path to the unknown, Each step closer to the tombstone, And like the love faded away into yew, He will fade away unnoticed too

The Devil's Game

The clock strikes past three, His hands rubbing with glee, He's been told about the devil's hour, He waits and hopes, he's not too far From the ashes of the hymn, The darkness falls upon him, And through the smoke of deceit, He rises from under his feet He tries to feed on the fear in him, Finds none but curiosity upto the brim, Now offended, he questions the man, Only to be countered, "How did it began?" "I am nothing but just the vessel, Of humans' greed, I am its trestle, You've pictured God sitting all soigne, I am merely, the other side of the coin" He vanished before the rising sun, Leaving the man behind undone, The greatest trick the devil spun, Convincing the man, he's the only one.

The Man And The Pawn

What are you doing in the wild? Trotting along the mysterious path Are you lost, child? There's no place for a child in this strath, I'm finding my way away from the demon, He's followed me for eternity, I am no child, but a freeman, Caught within these shackles of absurdity Stop running away from him, You'll never be able to escape, As long as you're full of grim, You'll never be able to trape I am not grim, I am not ruthless, Just an experiment of his game, The expendable pawn of the devil's chess, Free to burn up under his flame Don't give up, don't let your fears grow, Let facing him be your endeavour, For storms may come and storms may go, But the Sun will shine forever

The Countdown Begins

The dense forest staring right at us, The concreteness leaving it brusk, Watching through the windows silently, As we go about our ways violently The only chirping heard is of horns, Overshadowing the cries of newborns, The gunshot echoes in the dingy streets, Left for dead for the scavenger's treats Our hands are all full of red, Treading along on the thin thread, Innocence lost somewhere along the way, Everyone's looking for their prey The only way to stop it all is the end, Brought upon ourselves, not godsend, Is there time to change our ways? Or is it time to count down the days?

A Million Faces

All these faces staring into blankness, Each tells a different story of life, From the one leading into darkness, To the other in strife with his wife He's wandering away into his dreams, With eyes wide open but everything's a blur, She's staring into the blue streams, Undeterred by the million eyes on her, With each stranger only into himself, Silence takes over the entire journey, Like books lying undisturbed over the shelf, Dust takes over the lives like undergrowth ferny I lay here, carrying the weight on my shoulder, Which isn't mine to begin with, And everything around gets colder, As I close my eyes and travel into the myth
